A European seller, not a European shipping option

Most of the large print storefronts are American. They quote in dollars, print in the United States and post into Europe, which means the price you agree at checkout is not the price you pay: a customs charge and a courier handling fee arrive separately, usually at the door, usually larger than expected.

ArtMarket is based in the Netherlands. These 130 works, priced €65–€295, are priced in euros and posted from Amsterdam, so an order to anywhere in the EU crosses no customs border at all. Orders shipped outside the EU customs union may attract import duty or local sales tax. That covers the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, the United States, the Gulf states and East and Southeast Asia. These charges are levied by the destination country on arrival, are not included in the price at checkout, and are the buyer's responsibility.

What delivery actually costs

Every print is shipped rolled in a protective tube from the Netherlands, dispatched in 1–2 business days. Delivery is €8 within the Netherlands, €18 across the European Union, €30 to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, €55 to the United States, €80 to the Gulf states and €95 to East and Southeast Asia. Orders over €175 ship free within the Netherlands and the European Union. Orders inside the EU over €175 ship free, and the rate for additional prints in the same order is charged per item rather than per parcel, so a pair or a group costs less to send than two separate orders.

Every print leaves rolled in a rigid tube rather than flat-packed, which is what stops a corner crease in transit. The full rate table by zone, with transit windows, is set out below.

Returns, currency and payment

You can return an unframed print in original condition within 14 days of delivery for a refund to the original payment method. Return postage is paid by the buyer and the print goes back to a Dutch address, so a return from inside the EU is an ordinary domestic-rate parcel rather than an international one — the practical difference against returning something to a US seller is usually the whole value of a small print. Refunds are released within 3–5 business days of the work reaching the studio.

Prices are in euros throughout, with no currency conversion at checkout and no conversion fee from your bank on a euro card. Cards are handled by the payment processor and card details are never stored by ArtMarket. The 14-day window runs from delivery, not from dispatch, priced €65–€295.
